When I recedived the product, it was made of a thin piece of wood vaneer with plastic in the center. I was shocked, it was cheaply made and not worth anywhere near the price I paid for it. I expected a Seth Thomas type product but this was not the case at all. I was highly disappointed. I returned the product for a refund. WORD OF WARNING: The Metronome slides from the thumb and fingers when picking it up from the top; so, I used Shoegoo for glue, and I glued a strip of velcro on both sides; the velcro was only the spiky part, and I threw the soft velcro away; now, when I pick the metronome up from the top it will not slide through my thumb and finger; otherwise, it is best to pick up the metronome by grabbing it in a palmed fashion. Also, I had some little rubber circles that glue on to the bottom of electronic products to stop them from sliding around; so I glued a little rubber circle on each one of the feet of the Metronome in order to stop it from sliding off of smooth surfaces because it will slide off on a smooth surface!
