When I took it out of the box, I felt the looks were deceiving. It is much sturdier and heavier than you would think. I made up a box of standard vanilla cake mix, poured it into my batter pourer and began dispensing cake batter into each little well. Almost right to the rim. It didn't take long at all, nothing like the 32-35 minutes for a 13X9 cake. I barely had time to clean the kitchen when each batch was finished. The vanilla cake came out golden brown. Really pretty too. The kids and I iced them and added sprinkles. And ate some non-decorated cakes while doing so. They came out light and fluffy and tasted better than a cupcake. Not much of a cupcakes eater because I hate the messy icing tops and the cake always seems to crumble.
